A CHALLENGE TO IMPROVE
If we really want to be honest with ourselves, we can’t say that our company is sustainable. What we can say, however, is that we are doing a little bit more every day. We also maintain that the world is our stage. That’s why we believe it is our duty to at least try to make it a better place; we don’t want to do just enough to be considered “sustainable”. Sustainability is an ongoing process, something that can never be fully reached; but something that seems impossible does not mean that we shouldn’t try it. Perfection can never be attained, but aiming to achieve it anyway will lead to the best possible result. Contributing means never ceasing to improve the world. Go one step further and never settle thinking that what we do is enough.

THE CHANGE STARTS HERE
Philanthropy is a central element of HOFF’s identity. We share a vision of positive change. Our philanthropy programme involves giving back a little, raising the voice of the underprivileged, and promoting research and culture. The aim of every action we carry out is to bring about significant change in our society. Small actions lead to great change.
EMPLOYEES
We are certified by Great Place to Work®, the global authority in work culture. This valued recognition is completely based on what our employees say about their work experience at HOFF. We offer members of our company the flexibility they need to have a true work-life balance. They can work from home if needed, as well as benefit from many small perks promoting flexibility, which as a whole make people’s work experience compatible with their everyday life. We also established new health and safety policies that make HOFF a workplace that strives to improve the quality of life of its employees.
PROVIDERS
Our production is centralised with trusted suppliers with whom we have a close relationship. BSCI conducts social audits of our suppliers to ensure that they comply with all regulations in the country.
We work to ensure that our supply chain respects and promotes human rights, in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

Construction of a well that brought drinking water to a small community in Malawi for the first time.

CONTIGO, TUTELA AND AFAE FOUNDATION
We donated €4,000, €6,000 and €10,000 to three associations chosen by HOFF employees. These three NGOs are: Fundación Contigo, which works to lower cancer mortality rates for women; Tutela, which provides assistance to people with intellectual disabilities; and Afae, which is an association for family members of Alzheimer’s sufferers.

A COMMITMENT TO THE WORLD
If we believe that the world is our stage, then let’s try to make it a better place. The earth does not belong to humans, humans belong to the earth; this puts us in a position where we need to be aware of and responsible for our impact. Our mark belongs on the path, not on the environment. The following are a few actions that we perform to reduce our impact.
Our suppliers comply with the REACH regulation. This regulation better protects human health and the environment against the potential risks posed by chemical substances. It also promotes alternative methods for assessing the hazards of substances in order to reduce the amount of animal testing.
We amended our constituent documents to incorporate the clauses redefined by B Corp which require that all parties interested in the decision-making process be taken into account. Said clauses also reflect the overall commitment to social and environmental responsibility.
Freight transport by ship. Maritime transport emits 63 times fewer emissions than air transport when it comes to transporting goods of the same weight over the same distance.
We work with suppliers certified by the Leather Working Group, an organisation that guarantees that all leather used is tanned using sustainable practices. These include the use of renewable energy and technologies that reduce water consumption.

HOFF X BCOME
HOFF has partnered with BCOME, a platform for sustainability that allows companies in the textile and clothing sector to create responsible supply chains, guarantee transparency and ensure that it reaches the final customer. We have traced, measured and assessed the impact of all models from the latest collections and that’s just the beginning. The company will continue working with BCOME to increase the percentage of garments and models examined in each of our upcoming projects and collections. For the sake of transparency, we added a sustainability report for each product on our website, so that all customers can see the exact impact of the product being purchased..

BCOME RTW SUSTAINABILITY REPORT
One of HOFF’s major initiatives of particular importance is the one implemented during the FW21 season through a new product line: its first clothing collection that, in turn, is the first collection made with organic cotton and recycled materials and produced in a factory that uses 100% renewable energy. These clothes were created with reprocessed fibres designed to be used infinitely, thus reducing the demand for virgin fibres and lowering the number of chemical products used.
