El acantilado de Famara es la parte noroeste de un antiguo macizo derrumbado por la erosión del mar. El acantilado costero de Famara, el derrame de La Cerca-Los Helechos, y el jable situado al suroeste, en Caleta de Famara, fueron declarados parque natural en 1987. La zona preservada ocupa una superficie de 45 kilómetros cuadrados de maravilla itinerante.

The coastal cliffs, the spill of La Cerca-Los Helechos, and el jable located to the southwest in Caleta de Famara were declared a natural park in 1987. The preserved area occupies an area of 45 square kilometers of traveling wonder.
